BOCES Board of Education
Like
public
school
systems,
the
Capital
Region
BOCES
is
governed
by
a
policy-making
board
of
education.
The
10
members
of
our
board
serve
three-year
terms
and
are
elected
by
our
component
boards
of
education
through
a
special
vote
held
each
April.
In
order
to
qualify
for
the
BOCES
Board,
members
must
be
eligible
voters
in
one
of
our
component
school
districts.

Board
members
represent
and
are
accountable
to
our
component
school
boards.
The
duties
and
responsibilities
of
the
Board
members
