BOCES Board members represent and are accountable
to component school boards. The duties and responsibilities of the
board members include:
shared educational services to our component schools.
needs assessments and long-range planning for BOCES and our
component school districts.
teachers and support staff to carry out BOCES programs.
an annual BOCES budget and overseeing expenditures throughout the
policies for the organization and plans for future growth and
BOCES district superintendents (subject to
the approval of the Commissioner of Education).
The BOCES District Superintendent works closely
with the members of the board to implement state laws and board
policies and directions.
