Board of Education Policies  

The Board of Education has reviewed all Capital Region BOCES policies. BOCES has contracted with the New York State School Board Association as part of that work; the NYSSBA policies are reviewed and marked for relevance by BOCES administrators and the BOCES attorney, then provided to the Board of Education Policy Advisory Committee for discussion.

As policies are reviewed and approved by the Policy Advisory Committee, they are given to the full Board of Education for a first reading. If accepted, the policy is returned (for a second reading) to the Board of Education as a resolution, subject to further discussion and possible return to committee or adoption.
