Calendar of Events

March 3: SAFE at WORK – If you register and attend the workshop, you will get a free gift card! NENYCOSH* will train registrants on working safely and will inform you of worker health and safety rights. This workshop will take place from 12:00-3PM at the Capital South Campus Center at

March 7: Homebuyer 101 Workshop – From 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Albany Public Library at 161 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12210, the Affordable Housing Partnership will talk about the home buying process, down payment programs, and how to credit qualify for a mortgage. March 8: Schenectady Spring Job Fair– At Proctor’s & Key Hall in Schenectady, from 10 a.m.-4  p.m. there will be over 35 employers looking to hire workers! There will also be workshops on resumes, interviews, and using social media to find employment. Come network and find a job! March 8: Career Assessment – Do you want to know what jobs best suit your skills, education, and personality? Come find out! Education case manager, Shannon Cornwall, will run this workshop at the Albany Public Library at 161 Washington Ave., Albany, NY 12210 from 1:30-2:30  p.m. Please call to reserve a seat: (518) 694-4533.

 March 13: Chat & Paint – Learn the basics of acrylic painting in this step-by-step beginner class that will go from 6-7 p.m. at the Pine Hills Branch Library located at 517 Western Ave., Albany, NY 12203. Please call and register for the class by calling: (518) 482-7911, extension 230.

March 23: Window Replacement Workshop – This class is designed to teach any adult how to replace old windows using lead safe work practices and the correct tools. Learn about cost benefits and energy savings, too. This class will take place at the Capital South Campus Center at 20 Warren Street, Albany, NY 12202 from 10AM-Noon. Tutoring
Free tutoring is available at the Capital South Campus Center at 20 Warren Street, Albany, NY 12202. There are math tutors there on Mondays from 4-7 p.m. and Wednesdays from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

English Spoken Here
Trained literacy volunteers run a drop-in English conversational skills class at the Delaware Library (331 Delaware Ave., Albany, NY 12209) on Tuesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. For more information, call: 518-463-0254, extension 223.

Center for Law and Justice Thursday Service Day
This will take place EVERY Thursday at 220 Green Street, Albany, NY 12202. Community members will have free access to health insurance navigators, health and finance information, resource referrals, and legal advice. To make an appointment, call: 518-427-8361.

Art Class
For anyone age 8 and up! 15 Trinity Place in Albany has an art class that meets every Saturday from 11 a.m. to  1 p.m. Call 518-449-5155 for more information.

Bike Repair

Computer Help

Food Pantry
For those in dire need of food call the Trinity Center: 518-449-5155 or the Arbor Hill Center: 518-463-1516 (you have to provide a photo ID and piece of mail or lease arrangement to prove an area address).

Greg’s Adult Gym

Kadoshin Karate

Knitters
Sewing, Knitting, and Crocheting Circle encourages everyone to attend and learn – all materials are supplied for free by Trinity and finished products are donated to families in need. RCHPP Quick Help:
The Refugee Community Health Partnership Program helps refugees with translations and assisting with forms - the quick help sessions also teach refugees different skills and encourage them in the garden to help generate produce for themselves and the community.
