The Management Services Department of Capital Region BOCES is responsible for many internal functions that are critical to the operation of the BOCES. Employees of Management Services are a part of Central Administration and perform valuable support activities for BOCES employees who work in the various programs and in the school districts. The following is some basic information about each of the primary offices in this area:

Office of the Assistant District Superintendent for Management Services: 
Mark Jones, Assistant District Superintendent, (518) 862-4920
Coordinates and supervises the functions of Business, Finance, Purchasing, and Operations and Maintenance. This office also serves as clerk to the Board of Cooperative Educational Services and is responsible for preparing the meeting agenda, writing the meeting minutes, processing contracts and maintaining the BOCES Policy Manual. This office serves as liaison between the BOCES and component school business officials.

Business Office: 
Judy Stevens, Supervisor, (518) 862-4926  
Responsible for payroll processing, NYS retirement system reports, tax-sheltered annuities, flexible benefits plan, accounts receivable, accounts payable, records revenue and expenditures, and performs budget development and monitoring. The BOCES budget for this year is about $78 million.

Finance Office: 
Arpy Ernest, Treasurer, (518) 862-4925  
Responsible for fiscal procedures, financial statements, state aid calculations, reports to SED, audit coordination, bank statement reconciliation, internal fiscal controls and cooperative services agreements.

Purchasing Office: 
Billie Burgamy, Coordinator, (518) 862-4923  
Responsible for processing bids, proposals and purchase orders, installment purchase contracts, and performing fixed assets inventory record keeping.

Operations/Maintenance Office 
Daniel Haggerty, Supervisor, (518) 862-4940  
Responsible for cleaning, maintenance and repair, facilities management, and construction supervision of BOCES' buildings and grounds.
