The
Business
Services Department of
Capital
Region
BOCES
is
responsible
for
many
internal
functions
that
are
critical
to
the
operation
of
the
BOCES.
Employees
of
Business
Services are a part of Central Administration and perform
valuable
support
activities
for
BOCES
employees
who
work
in
the
various
programs
and
in
the
school
districts.
The
following
is
some
basic
information
about
each
of
the
primary
offices
in
this
area:
Office
of
the
Assistant
District
Superintendent
for
Business
Services:

Coordinates
and
supervises
the
functions
of
Business,
Finance,
Purchasing,
and
Operations
and
Maintenance.
This
office
also
serves
as
clerk
to
the
Board
of
Cooperative
Educational
Services
and
is
responsible
for
preparing
the
meeting
agenda,
writing
the
meeting
minutes,
processing contracts and maintaining the BOCES Policy Manual.
This
office
serves
as
liaison
between
the
BOCES
and
component
school
business
officials.

payroll

NYS
retirement
system
reports,
tax-sheltered
annuities, flexible benefits
plan,
accounts
receivable,
accounts

budget

this
year
is
about $78
million.
