Congratulations to Marcia Siver, who was recently named
Representative of the Month by
First New York Credit Union.
Siver
is the Administrative Assistant to Capital Region BOCES Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Kathryn Gerbino and has
worked at BOCES for almost 21 years.
She is a long-time member of First New York and continues to welcome the credit union at several events at BOCES. Last summer, Siver was eager to get First New York scheduled to be part of the Opening Day events and New Teacher Orientations in August and September, and First New York is already on the schedule for the next school year.
“First New York is such a welcoming credit union and has so much to offer its members,” said Siver.
After the flooding and devastation associated with last summer's hurricanes and tropical storms, Siver contacted First New York and asked if the credit union could help. In response, First New York provided financial support to purchase many of the vocational trade supplies that BOCES Career & Tech students lost.
Recently, Siver arranged for First New York’s on-site "Understanding Your Credit Day" on April 24 that provided BOCES employees with insight into credit cards and credit reports.
As part of the honor, First New York featured Marcia in their monthly magazine with the following acknowledgement: "Many thanks to Marcia for all she does to help her colleagues have easy access to First New York and information that makes a difference! We look forward to many more Opening and Understanding Your Credit Days and New Teacher Orientations with Marcia and all her colleagues at BOCES."
