Until recently, BOCES staff and school districts in need of
troubleshooting help to resolve a technical problem called the
Northeast Regional Information Center (NERIC) Help Desk. Now,
when an issue with technology arises, chances are the NERIC
Service Desk is already aware of the problem and is working to
address it.

middle school students learn budgeting and life skills,
BOCES teaching assistants shared projects they created this

Central School District have partnered to offer Tech Valley
Manufacturing and Machining Technology, a new course for high
school students that will launch in September 2012.

20, 2012: BOCES District Superintendent Charles Dedrick
recently received a $24,000 Lowe's/SkillsUSA grant check
from Bruce Potter, New York State SkillsUSA coordinator, on
behalf of students at both Career & Technical School
campuses. Students will use the money to repair two
Schoharie County parks and a cemetery damaged last summer by tropical
storms Irene and Lee. In the photo is a maintenance shed
students built for Sloansville Cemetery. At Lasell Park, the
students will demolish an old structure and are building a
new 60-foot by 20-foot pavilion, repairing roads, and
building and installing new picnic tables, benches and
grills. For Fox Creek Park, the students are building a new
sign, picnic tables and benches.
April 20, 2012:
The Mini-Grant Program provides varying monetary awards of up
to $1,000 to cover the costs of projects and initiatives
that are suited to employees' unique professional talents
and the needs of BOCES. The grants are awarded for both
instructional and non-instructional projects. The deadline
for application for grants for the 2012-13 school year is
