Get your kids excited about science, tech, engineering and math

Capital Region BOCES and other area organizations are joining forces to sponsor a hands-on learning opportunity for K-12 students interested in science, technology, engineering and math.

The Back to School Expo will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 at Albany's Empire State Plaza. The event is designed to build awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) careers and will provide students hands-on learning opportunities through fun and educational STEM exhibits.

Give-a-ways and exhibitor booths are also on deck, as well as celebrity appearances by Zendaya from Disney's "Shake It Up,"  Curious George, the Cat in the Hat and the gang from "Super Why."
