The service saves districts time and personnel costs by coordinating a network of districts that need substitutes and substitute applicants. The service consists of two components:

Substitute Calling

Using an Internet-based system, substitute and teacher databases, help desk personnel and priority lists, this service assigns the best-qualified substitutes to fill teacher absences while giving districts immediate access to data. The Help Desk is open 5:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Substitute Registry

The registry supports districts by recruiting, interviewing, orienting and recommending substitutes for district approval. It also tracks OSPRA clearance and Hazard Communications (Right-to-Know) training status of substitute teachers and substitute applicants.

2012 Expectations and Survey (returning substitutes only)

Substitutes active with our service in the 2011-2012 school year were mailed a letter and survey in July 2012. An online survey is available below for those subs who did not return the survey by the August 1, 2012 deadline. A returning substitute cannot be activated for the current school year without the survey signed and received by our office.
